This holiday are filled with assignments and exams. All these eat much of my time and I barely have my leisure moments. When I was doing my assignments I was thinking, why do we need to do all the hectic work? Do we really learn something from the assignments?
For me the answer is no. Nowadays students are like robots, doing whatever their lecturers ask for, the aim for students to go to universities has changed. Last time, people go to schools to gain knowledge, but now we are all here for a certificate, a paper which can guarantee us to get a better pay.
What we do is just sit in front of the computers and keep typing. We are facing a non-human thing to do our job. We have no interaction with a human at all when we are doing assignments, that is what makes us less human now.
Even in the class, we cannot say whatever we like, because not all the lecturers can accept our point of view. I am not saying that everyone of them is like that, but from what I see, at least a few of them are like that. This makes the students inferior because they are afraid of making the lecturers angry and the latter will take actions towards them.
Students does not have to be treated in this way. We are not robot, we are human!

Evolution of phones
Had an interesting class few days ago when lecturer taught me the evolution of the phones. I am surprised to see the 1st Generation phone, it is very huge and inconvenient to carry around. But thanks to technology, now we have a smaller phone design that enable us to put them into pockets or handbags.
Regarding to my previous post, although the functions of phones are not being fully utilized by people, however, it invents something helpful too. For example, we use Whatsapp, Wechat, Tango, Viber and so many more applications to connect with our beloved. Moreover, we can search information online whenever we need to, without the need to use a big-sized desktop. Meaning to say, the latest information are with us all the time.
Professionals even use phones to do analysis or do their drawings. We cannot deny that they can have fantastic works too on their phones. I also think that phones has given us the leisure time as we can download games from phones and play.
However, as a rational human being we need to know when to use the handphones and when not to. Overuse of the technology devices might give us negative impacts in our life.

Crimea Crisis
Crimea crisis got my attention recently as BBCNews Page on Facebook keep reporting this news and it appeared on my timeline. I do not really understand the whole story of it as I do not follow all the updates made by the page.
All I know is that Crimean Parliament declare the split from Ukraine and asks to join Russian Federation. The president of Crimea, President Putin, claimed that Crimea is now a part of Russia. However, Russia does not admit the referendum given by Crimea and therefore reject Crimea to join in.
I wonder why Crimea needs the independence and then suddenly ask for join to Russian Federation. Crimea should have asked for Russia's opinion and suggestion before taking any move. They take action without consideration and eventually get rejected by Russia, which Russia did the appropriate decision on the rejection.

Hazardous Air
The haze in West Malaysia
caused by burning forests is getting serious. Ever since global climate change,
our country faces this problem almost every year, either caused by the burning
forest in Indonesia or Malaysia.
We take things for granted and never be responsible for all the minor things we do because we those things are unnoticed. Open burning seems like a trend in Malaysia where households love burning the leaves, tree branches and woods. We as Malaysians choose to burn the rubbish instead of throwing them into the dustbin, and yet we all think that everyone is doing the same thing so why aren't we?air

iPhone
iPhone and Samsung are actually the same thing, they are smartphones. But I don't understand why people need to buy iPhone when the price of it is much higher than Samsung. Plus, most of the people who buy iPhone do not fully utilize all the functions in the phone.
In my opinion, people who buy iPhone do not really need iPhone actually, they buy it because iPhone shows a higher status in society. The same thing goes to Samsung. People use Samsung because it is a smartphone. People use smartphones more or less the same way: to call or to text, that's it. They do not use the Notes, AllShare, IM, Kies Air, Hangouts or others, at least people around me do not use the applications I mentioned.
Nowadays, even a 5-year-old girl has an iPhone. But the question is, does she really know the benefits of having a phone? I don't think so. She will probably just play some games download by her parents in Google PlayStore. People use their phones to show off to their friends how sophisticated their phones are, but never really fully utilize it.
Technology invention is good, it benefits us, to make us easier to communicate or to keep in touch with others. However, if we do not use the phones in the appropriate way, the phones do not have their real meaning or value. After all it is just like the 1st Generation phones.

MH370 tragedy
Today when I open Facebook, all the news floating on my newsfeed is MH370 tragedy. A plane from Malaysia has gone missing after flying for around 2 hours. Most of the passengers were from Chna, as the flight's destination is China.
Me and my friends are discussing about this and it is impossible for us to believe that the news is true. The first thing I do not understand is that how can such a huge plane can be missing without any signal. I believe the pilots have done their best to call for help if they met any problem in the plane. Besides, I don't know why the government cannot locate the plane as the fuel of the plane can only last for about 5-6 hours.
This tragedy sounds creepy for me when I saw a news stating that there was a plane which appeared again after missing for 35 years. I wonder whether this happens to MH370 too. But I was surprised that Malaysia government, a developing country, couldn't locate or detect the plane's location using the technology. The technology is so advanced and yet it cannot help in this incident.
I really hope Malaysia government can do something to help in search of MH370. There is still hope as long as we have not seen any debris or dead body of the passengers.
